Frequently asked questions

Multiply each course's grade points (A = 4.0, B = 3.0, C = 2.0, and so on) by its credit hours, add those up, then divide by your total credit hours. This calculator does the weighted math for you as you enter each course.

It uses the standard unweighted 4.0 scale, where an A is 4.0 no matter the course difficulty. Weighted scales that add points for Honors or AP classes vary by school, so check your school's policy if you need a weighted GPA.
